Documenting and Exposing the Islamic Republic’s Repression
Iran Screams is an independent platform founded and led by Nazanin Molaee, with Community and Research Support from Atefeh Farzaneh Jajarmi. Together, we document political repression, state violence, censorship, and human rights violations committed by the Islamic Republic in Iran.
We collect, verify, analyze, and archive information related to nationwide protests, arbitrary detention, state violence, restrictions on freedom of expression, censorship, and internet shutdowns. Our work preserves digital evidence that might otherwise be deleted, manipulated, concealed, or denied.
We carry out this work independently and continuously to defend freedom of expression, raise international awareness, support accountability, and ensure that documented evidence remains accessible to journalists, researchers, and human rights organizations worldwide.
Who We Are
Iran Screams is an independent digital platform founded and led by Nazanin Molaee, an independent political activist and human rights documentarian focusing on Iran, with Community and Research Support from Atefeh Farzaneh Jajarmi.
Together, we document and expose political repression, state violence, censorship, internet shutdowns, and human rights violations committed by the Islamic Republic. We preserve digital evidence, review publicly available information, and publish analytical and awareness-raising content related to events inside Iran.
Our work is conducted independently and publicly under our real names, faces, and identities. We aim to ensure that the voices of people inside Iran are heard internationally by journalists, researchers, and human rights organizations—particularly during periods when the Islamic Republic deliberately restricts or completely blocks access to information.
The platform and those associated with it have faced online harassment, intimidation, threats, and coordinated attacks from pro-government individuals and networks. Despite these risks, we continue our work to safeguard freedom of expression, preserve evidence, raise international awareness, and contribute to accountability for human rights violations in Iran.
Our work represents an ongoing and well-documented commitment to human rights advocacy and public opposition to the Islamic Republic. We will continue our activities for the people of Iran until the Islamic Republic is overthrown and the Iranian people are free.
What We Do
We document political repression, human rights violations, and censorship in Iran through verified reporting, analytical research, and systematic digital archiving. Our work involves monitoring nationwide protests, documenting state violence, analyzing restrictions on information and communication, and preserving evidence for the public record and potential legal and human rights review.
